My approach to treating patients
I created this page to familiarize you with my Hand and Orthopaedic Surgery practice, my dedicated staff, and the service we provide. I am a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialty interest in disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow. I have also obtained a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand following advanced Fellowship training in Hand and Microsurgery.
I was born and raised here in New Orleans and completed almost all of my education here in town at Newman, Tulane Biomedical Engineering, LSU Medical School, and Orthopaedic Surgery at Charity Hospital. Following one final year of Hand Surgery training in Seattle, I joined the Bone and Joint Clinic in 2002.
I look forward to working with my patients on an individual and personal level. I believe it is imperative to ensure that patients are both educated about their condition as well as involved in their treatment decisions. This can only be achieved with thorough communication. I will personally perform your evaluation and discuss all of the findings and options with you. Only after all of the benefits and implications of the different treatments have been explained can proper decisions be made.
Often X-rays are needed to further assist in diagnoses which will be provided in the office. Many times patients can be treated with exercises, injections, braces, casts or physical therapy, all of which are offered on site in our clinic. Should surgery be found necessary, an Ambulatory Surgery Center is also available in our Marrero office. Additional imaging such as MRI, CT scan and ultrasound is also provided very nearby.
