Michael J. Collins, MD, is a Fellowship trained spine surgeon with Bone and Joint Clinic.

Dr. Collins grew up in Kenner, LA. He graduated valedictorian of Jesuit High School and Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana State University. He then attended medical school at LSU New Orleans and went on to do his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Afterwards, Dr. Collins completed an Orthopedic and Neurological Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Southern California, where he had further training in both surgical and non-surgical treatment of spinal conditions.

Dr. Collins is skilled in both traditional and minimally invasive approaches to the spine. Dr. Collins believes in being on the cutting edge of technology in the field and uses computer guided navigation in his spinal fusion procedures. He is also a certified user of the MazorX Stealth and Excelsius Spinal Robots.

Dr. Collins is happy to be home and taking care of patients in the community.
